Where does one find, for free, such things as: U.S. Notice to Mariners; Sailing Directions (enroute and planning guides); NGA List of Lights; US Coast Guard Light Lists; American Practical Navigator (Bowditch); Sight Reduction Tables (Air and Nautical!); Radio Navigation Aids: and other navigation science publications? They are all available for download at: http://www.nga.mil/portal/site/maritime/ I am guessing that there are over 100 nautical publications here for the asking. Enjoy! Roger

Well, we went out to the Chicago Yacht Club race web site after our last post and discovered that at least 100 boats are already entered! I guess this will be a really big deal. The web site, should you care to browse the entries is http://www.chicagoyachtclub.org/racetomackinac/ Enjoy
Well, today must be the official start of the 2008 racing season for Reboot and our racing team. Today we took advantage of being one of the 426 invited competitors and entered the 100th running of the Chicago - Mackinac race. We entered almost as soon as the invitation hit our inbox so we expect we were one of the first. The web site went down fairly quickly afterward (it came back up pretty quickly) so I guess a lot of other people wanted to get their entry in quickly. The race committee had warned that they might have to restrict the total number of entries so the early one enters the higher one is on the list.

For those of you interested in very low pressure Friday night around the bouy racing in Milwaukee WI I suggest you visit http://www.mastracing.org for the information on our regatta
