What's with the Brits and Rocks?

Have you ever noticed how much the Brits' like to build things on rocks? I followed Nigel's instructions and worked my way down the river from Rebel's mooring. What do I find? Of course - a rock with a bunch of funny looking buildings. Want to bet this belongs to the British Navy? I am sure Nigel will let us know!

ReplyDeleteHiya guys, This rock is called " Drakes Island ". It used to carry defensive gun emplacements and carries the indicator lights that govern entry to the naval port. ie, three vertical reds = NO ENTRY !.etc. Just a tad smaller than Alcatraz with similar, inhospitable, buildings !! Nigel
